Beach
Winslow Memorial Park.
Freeport's town park has a beach with nature trails, a picnic area with tables, grills, volleyball court, playground and sheltered or open group function area, all with pretty coastal views.

Animals
Wolfe's Neck Farm.
Cows, pigs, sheep and chickens are at this public organic farm situated on the shore of Casco Bay. Watch a calf being born (April) and walk in the wooded nature trails.

Healthy Walks near Freeport

Wolfe's Neck State Park.
Hike nature trails around the peninsula's perimeter, climb on the rocks and try to spot an osprey while enjoying the magnificent views.

Androscoggin River Bicycle & Pedestrian Path is a 2.63 mile paved bicycle and walking path along the Androscoggin River. It is maintained year round, and open 24 hrs. (Parking at the Water Street entrance is open 1/2 hour before sunrise to 1/2 hour after sunset).

Desert
Desert of Maine.
Visit the 1797 William Tuttle farm. After successful years growing potatoes, severe soil erosion occurred on this land exposing a veritable desert. Most of the farm's buildings have been curried by sand, but the 200 year old barn houses the Farm Museum.
