Sparkle Weekend, Specials and more!

Next weekend (December 3-4) is the "official" beginning of Christmas in Freeport. We always get Sparkle Weekend off to a big start with the annual Christmas parade, with Santa arriving on a Lobster Boat! There are sales and activities, in conjunction with L.L. Bean's Northern Lights activities, so there is something for everyone.

We still have rooms available on Thursday and Sunday nights, and one room on Saturday, if you would still like to be here for Sparkle!

Christmas in Maine

We are often asked if we are open for Christmas - the answer is yes! While it is often quiet here (after all, most people do spend the holidays with family), we also have people visiting family in Freeport who don't have room for all their guests, or people who just want to have a bit of Victorian Christmas at Brewster House.

2011 Specials

Our specials and packages for 2011 are on the website. In January we have our Wild Winter Wonderland package - stay two nights, and the third consecutive night is free! Our February is for Romance package is always a favorite (think Valentine's Day - all month!). From March through early May we offer Spring Serenity - also three (consecutive) nights for the price of two!

During the warmer months we have our Lighthouse Tour (April 1 - October 31), Sail into the Sunset (June 1 - October 31), and our  Maine Seafarer Adventure (June 1 - October 31). For the fall foliage season we add Fall Foliage Surf & Turf (September 18 - October 31).

In addition, we have others, such as Giving Thanks and our B&B's for Vets, plus our ongoing packages like our Birthday or Anniversary package, Babymoon Package, Honeymoon package, etc., listed on our Freeport packages page.

Brewster House Thanksgiving

Our guests and friends who are familiar with our pages on the history of the Brewster family will know that Jarvis A. Brewster, who built Brewster House, was a descendant of William Brewster, a pilgrim who arrived in New England on the Mayflower in 1620. That history makes the American holiday of Thanksgiving something special at Brewster House.

Of course, many are familiar with the story known as the first Thanksgiving in America. But more than just a holiday (or the beginning of Christmas shopping), it is a story of a group of brave people - pilgrims - giving thanks to God for His provision of safety and food. At the time it was not intended to be an annual event... continue reading about the Brewster House Thanksgiving.
