Preparing for the Season
Our apologies for the tardy newsletter this month! Things got a bit out of hand, with Ruth out of town with a family emergency, and Scott doing breakfasts.
We've also made some smaller changes - digital thermostats to conserve energy, curved shower curtain rods in most rooms, to make the showers more comfortable, and a few other odds and ends.
We've also just placed an order for fireplaces, which we hope to have installed in some of the queen rooms in the coming weeks.
As the accompanying photo illustrates, we're also on the road once again, this time driving to Texas (with stops to visit friends in Virginia) to attend an innkeeping conference and Scott is speaking at a couple of workshops, then on to California and Oregon, to visit family. We'll return, weather permitting, by way of more family visits in Minnesota and Michigan, in plenty of time to participate in the Flavors of Freeport festival in early April.
For 2010 we've changed some of our specials, deleted a few, and added some new specials. Now, no matter when you visit Brewster House, you'll find some special to help with your planning.
January starts with our Wild Winter Wonderland special, with three nights for the price of two. February is for Romance continues, but with a few alterations. Spring Serenity covers March, April, and most of May, with another three nights for two special. Our Lighthouse Tour runs from April through October. June kicks off our ever-popular Sail into the Sunset special, with also continuing through October. September and October are the province of our Fall Foliage Surf and Turf special. Giving Thanks is our November special, where we'll donate $50 from every two-night stay, to help Freeport Community Services. Our Shop, Dine, Stay and Play special wraps things up with its November/December time frame.
