Have we got specials!
We had a wonderful meeting this past month with the owners of Portland
Schooner Co. - the company we work with on several of our specials. As a result, we're not only repeating (and enhancing!) several of our
specials
that guests enjoyed last year, but we've added two entirely new specials that can only be described as exciting!
As we've previously mentioned, we will be offering our 2009 editions of the Sail into the Sunset and Fall Foliage Surf & Turf packages, which are similar to the successful packages we offered in 2008. We have also
expanded the Schooners and Lighthouses
package to include several new items.
The first new package is A Night Aboard
Ship, one night at Brewster House, a gift certificate at L.L. Bean, and an overnight cruise with Portland Schooner, including meals, sleeping at
anchor on one of the schooners that was once a luxurious private yacht!
The other exciting new package is a culinary adventure, Sails and Tails. In addition to two nights at Brewster House, guests will receive a gift card to Azure Cafe and a Sails and Tails cruise from Portland Schooner. A sail to
privately owned Cow Island, where you'll experience a traditional Maine lobster bake, then enjoy the private beach, shady oak grove, and some
wonderful relaxation, before sailing back to Portland's Old Port district.
As always, if you are interested in a special or package, but would like to tailor it to your own tastes by adding something from another
package, or otherwise moving things around a bit, just let us know, and we'll happily make the substitutions.

Madness - Winter Projects at Brewster House
After digging out from last week's heavy,
wet, snow (and for some, major power failures), we're expecting more
snow over the next couple of days.
All that snow is pretty, but we have had quite a lot of it this year. Still, keeping us house-bound is good for the interior! Read

Each year Maine Tourism and the Maine Office of Tourism
present The Governor's Conference on Tourism. It is a day of
presentations by industry professionals to speak on topics of interest
to those in the industry - some on current affairs, some on practical
ideas to help market or improve the service we provide, etc. There are
also vendors displaying everything from advertising opportunities to
guest room amenities. Continued...
